Event Balloon Light – Event Lighting Hire Services (UK)

1. DEFINITIONS

• Client – the person or organisation hiring equipment or services.
• Company – Event Balloon Light.
• Equipment – lighting products and accessories supplied by the Company.
• Event – the occasion for which the Client hires the services or equipment.

2. BOOKINGS

• A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed agreement and a 25% non-refundable deposit.
• Quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
• Final details must be confirmed at least 14 days before the event date.

3. PAYMENTS

• Full payment is due no later than 7 days prior to the event.
• Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other agreed method.
• Late payments may incur interest charges of 4% above the Bank of England base rate.

4. CANCELLATIONS

• Cancellation by the Client must be made in writing.
• The following charges apply:
• More than 30 days before the event: Loss of deposit only.
• 15-30 days before the event: 50% of the total hire cost.
• Less than 14 days before the event: 100% of the total hire cost.
• The Company reserves the right to cancel services due to force majeure or non-payment.

5. EQUIPMENT HIRE & USAGE

• Equipment remains the property of Event Balloon Light at all times.
• The Client is responsible for the safe and proper use of all equipment during the hire period.
• Any loss or damage to the equipment will be charged to the Client at replacement cost.
• The Company reserves the right to remove equipment from site if safety is compromised.

6. DELIVERY, SETUP & COLLECTION

• Delivery, installation, and collection are included as stated in the booking confirmation.
• The Client must ensure clear access to the site and suitable conditions for setup.
• Delays due to site inaccessibility may incur additional charges.

7. INSURANCE & LIABILITY

• The Company holds public liability insurance.
• The Client is advised to arrange appropriate insurance for their event.
• The Company shall not be liable for:
• Delays or failures caused by events beyond its control.
• Any indirect or consequential losses.

8. HEALTH & SAFETY

• All installations comply with UK health and safety legislation.
• Clients must not interfere with or relocate any equipment once installed.
• Electrical equipment must not be modified, unplugged, or used improperly.

9. FORCE MAJEURE

• The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including but not limited to weather, strikes, pandemics, power failure, etc.).

10. GOVERNING LAW

• These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
